SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is a major piece of your business's roadmap to success in the digital world. It's the strategic approach that helps your website stand out amidst the internet noise, making it easier for potential customers to discover you online. In short, it’s providing content and a User Experience (UX) that are aligned to your customers needs in a way that Google can easily understand as they crawl, index and rank your website. SEO isn't just about attracting your loyal customers who already know your brand; it's about connecting with new, potential customers who are actively searching for what you offer but may not have heard of you... yet. In our first meeting, we’ll explain how that is done and what’s required to get there.
The vast majority of consumers turn to Google when they're looking for products or services. But here's the catch – they usually don't scroll past the first page of search results. If your business isn't showing up there, you're missing out on a huge opportunity to connect with potential customers. SEO isn't just about getting more traffic to your website; it's about getting the right kind of traffic. By optimizing your site for relevant keywords and providing valuable content, you can attract people who are actively searching for what you offer. And because they're already interested in what you have to say, they're more likely to become paying customers.
SEO matters because it helps you get found online, attract more customers, and grow your business. It's not just a nice-to-have – it's essential for staying competitive in today's digital marketplace.

Scholar House and Douglas J Aveda recently reached their two year anniversary of working together. Highlights include setting new monthly records for site traffic on three separate occasions, and achieving Page-One-of-Google rankings for several non-brand keywords that contain their target services (Cosmetology School & Esthiology School), and combining Organic search data with Paid ad placements to better inform ad spend, bringing down overall cost.
Step one was convincing Cyanna’s decision makers that consolidating their EdTech platform website with their corporate site would leverage the authority of both sites, making it easier for Google to make the connection and assign ranking value to Cyanna’s service and product offerings. Once the two websites were carefully and strategically combined into one, Scholar House and Cyanna teamed up on an on-going content creation project in the form of explainer videos, written articles, webinars, and content expansion. That content calendar is now over 3 years old and still going.
Giving site visitors content that answers their questions within an easy to use website, while also making the site easier for Google to crawl, index, and rank individual pages has led to an explosion of non-brand Google rankings. Cyanna now enjoys page 1 visibility for keyword phrases related to Starting a School, Curriculum Development, and their EdTech platform. Oh, and Organic traffic increased by 68% in year one, and an additional 15% in year two.
Do you know what your business is ranking for? We can help with that.
